Faith + Therapy

Your Faith Belongs in the Room.

A lot of Christian couples feel stuck between two worlds. They know their faith should be guiding their marriage — but they’re struggling. And they’re not sure a therapist will actually understand where they’re coming from.

At Symmetricly, we do. Our Christian counseling therapists are licensed professionals who also actively integrate prayer and scripture into sessions. You don’t have to leave your faith at the door to get real help.

Faith doesn’t make marriage easy. It makes it worth fighting for.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10

What to Expect

What Faith-Integrated Counseling Actually Looks Like

This isn’t just therapy with a Bible verse at the end. Faith is woven into the whole process.

🙏

Prayer in Sessions

Sessions may open or close with prayer — inviting God into the work you’re doing together as a couple. Your therapist leads this with you, not for you.

📖

Scripture as a Guide

Biblical principles and relevant scripture are brought in to help frame what you’re working through — not as rules, but as anchors for the conversation.

🤝

Evidence-Based Therapy

Faith integration doesn’t replace good therapy — it enhances it. Your sessions still use proven therapeutic methods like Gottman and EFT alongside the faith framework.

🏭

Covenant-Centered

We work from the understanding that marriage is a covenant, not just a contract. That shapes how we approach conflict, forgiveness, and commitment.

💌

Forgiveness & Grace

Biblical forgiveness is one of the most powerful tools in couples therapy. We help you understand what it means — and what it doesn’t mean — in practical terms.

🌟

All Denominations Welcome

Whether you’re Baptist, non-denominational, Catholic, or anywhere in between — if Jesus is the center of your marriage, you’re welcome here.

Who We Work With

This Is For You If…

Christian couples counseling at Symmetricly is a good fit for couples who want their faith actively present in the healing process — not just acknowledged.

You’re a Christian couple struggling and want God in the middle of your healing
You’ve tried regular couples therapy but felt like your faith wasn’t understood
You’re dealing with infidelity and need both therapeutic and spiritual guidance
You want to align your marriage more closely with Biblical principles
You’re in premarital counseling and want a faith-centered foundation
One or both partners are navigating a faith crisis alongside relationship struggles

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

Ephesians 4:2

We use this to anchor conversations about how couples show up for each other — especially during conflict.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”

1 Corinthians 13:4

A touchstone for couples rediscovering what love looks like in practice — beyond feelings.

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Mark 10:9

The foundation of covenant-centered work — understanding the weight and the gift of the commitment you made.

Common Questions

Questions About Christian Counseling

Our Christian counseling therapists work specifically with couples who want faith actively integrated into their sessions — including prayer and scripture. If you prefer a faith-informed but not scripture-based approach, we have other therapists who can support that. Just let us know when you reach out.
Sessions may open or close with prayer, include scripture relevant to what you’re working through, and use a framework grounded in Biblical principles — alongside evidence-based therapy methods like Gottman and EFT. Your therapist will follow your lead on how much faith integration feels right for you.
Yes. We welcome all Christian denominations. Whether you’re Baptist, non-denominational, Pentecostal, Catholic, or anything in between — what matters is that faith is central to your marriage and your healing.
Absolutely. Premarital counseling is one of the best uses of Christian couples therapy. We help you build your marriage on a solid Biblical foundation — covering communication, conflict, intimacy, finances, and spiritual alignment before you say “I do.”
Yes — we accept Anthem, Cigna, Aetna, Optum, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare. Insurance covers the therapy itself regardless of the faith integration. Self-pay and sliding scale options are also available.
That’s okay and it’s more common than you think. We work with couples where one partner may be in a different place with their faith. The goal is always to serve the marriage — and we meet each person where they are.
